ASCII file import

The ASCII file import object reads in numerical ASCII data files consisting of multiple columns.

The ASCII file export object has the following properties:

• Filename:Specifies the name of the file to be read.
• Column count:If column count is greater than zero, it specifies the number of data columns in the ASCII file. A corresponding number of floating point vectors appear as output variables of the ASCII import object. If column count is equal to zero, the column count is determined out of the input file. An integer output variable is created containing the number of columns. The data is returned in a single float array which has the same format as if created by the vector memory object. Single columns can be extracted using the "Vector Extract" object.
